I FEEL THE EARTH MOVE UNDER MY FEET!!!

Wow, the earth really did move this morning. We had an earth quake that measured 5.4 on the scale. It was around 4:35, I was sleeping and I felt my bed shake and heard a crackle noise. My daughter came in scared to death. You can imagine how it shook to wake a 18 year old up.
Of course one of my friends already said that my bed hasn't shook like that for years, how funny!

I won first place for the Presidents Challenge Tuesday evening at guild. There were different categories and in my section my table cloth won first. The President for last year chose anything Christmas for the challenge. This is my table cloth I put in, I pieced it and Amy from MN quilted it for me. She does a wonderful job.

This weekend I really don't think I will get much sewing done, I have to CLEAN. I use to clean all the time, but anymore it just isn't as important to me. I would rather spend time with my friends and family. But this weekend, I don't really have anything planned, so watch out dust bunnies.
Next Thursday I am going with my friends to Paducah, KY to the quilt show. I am sure we will have a great time. I think this is the 5th year I have gone. We live about 3 hrs away from Paducah. The Quilted Garden charters a bus and we just go for the day. We stayed for a few days in years past, but it is so hard to get a room. We leave around 6 in the AM and return around 11:30 PM. It is a long day. The next day I am going to take off from work too and have a few girls over for show and tell and a day of quilting.

I do have a silly picture of my friend Kay at our retreat. She is laying on the quilt she did at retreat, how beautiful is this quilt! I was so busy sewing that I really didn't take any pictures. I am not use to taking pictures so often for my blog. I will try to take pictures at Paducah. I don't know if any of the booths will let me, but I know I can take them of the quilts.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I will let you know how the dreaded cleaning goes.

Beth

Oh wow, Kay's quilt is gorgeous. She needs to bring it to club so I can see it up close.

Didn't we have some fun in Paducah?? I finally have all of my purchases sorted out and the fabric washed. You all just might turn me into a quilter. :D

Paducah! Lucky you. I have been only once but had a fantastic time. Hope to see some pictures soon. I only clean when my slippers come off walking across the dirty kitchen floor! Love your blog...what a great sense of humor.

Hi Beth! You just commented on my blog, and you are set to 'no reply' for your e-mail address, so I can't personally e-mail you, so i thought I would try here.

I use heat N bond for my wool. It is heavier. Some people don't like that, but I do... sticks like glue! If I have a large piece, I cut out the center so I don't have so much stiffness in the piece. I have been doing it this way forever and it works great. Good luck on your projects and thank you for the sweet compliment!
